Meet one of Canada's top outdoor & action photographers

Jeremy Koreski was born and raised in the coastal Canadian town of Tofino, British Columbia. He began taking photographs at age 13 when his father, a local oyster farmer, gifted him a Canon AE1 camera. Capturing friends developing their own talents in action sports like surfing and skateboarding, was one of Jeremy’s greatest teachers in a lifelong photographic education. To this day, Jeremy regards his clients as friends first, and relishes any opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals in the great outdoors..

Jeremy is an assignment photographer who focuses on sport, wildlife, nature and culture in and around the wilds of the Canadian coastline. From remote surf breaks to wild mountain ranges, Jeremy’s commercial and editorial work has been featured internationally by The New York Times, Surfer’s Journal, Patagonia, Yeti and many more. In 2015, he released ‘This is Nowhere’, a hardcover book created in honor of life on the west coast, in hopes of demonstrating the importance of preservation for future generations. After participating in exhibitions across Canada, the US and Europe, Jeremy’s photographs now enjoy a permanent home in the recently opened Jeremy Koreski Gallery, in the heart of Tofino.

Jeremy hopes to capture experiences that make people want to get outside, connect with nature and enjoy the wild – with every photograph rooted in the hope that the more we get outside, the more we will care about protecting the natural world. Jeremy splits his time between Tofino and the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island with his wife Sarah, his daughter Bellavita and an eclectic array of animals..
